Received the 1994 Tony Award and the American Theater Wing's Design Award for the Best Costume Design in Disney's Beauty and the Beast as well as an Olivier nomination for Best Costume Design in London. She was selected to represent the U.S. in the 1995 Prague Design Quadrennial. Recent projects include Little Me (Roundabout Theatre), Strike! A Miramax film, Anthony and Cleopatra with Vanessa Redgrave (Public Theatre), A Little Night Music (Houston Grand Opera), and Othello, a premiere ballet with Lar Lubovitch for American Ballet Theater.

Broadway: Sondheim/Lapine's Sunday in the Park with George (Tony/Drama Desk nominations; Maharam Award/ Outstanding Costume Design); Harrigan and Hart (Maharam nomination); Into the Woods (Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics' Circle nominations; L.A. Drama Critics' Circle Award); The Moliére Comedies (Roundabout); Falsettos; St. Joan; Three Men on a Horse; In the Summer House; Timon of Athens.

Dance collaboration designs: Graciella Daniele (Ballet Hispanico), Lar Lubovitch (The White Oak Project). She has been aided in the design of Beauty and the Beast by the love and expertise of her thirteen-year-old daughter, Leah.
