Contributions

The primary focus of DisneyHand is to serve the most needy families and children in our community in the areas of learning, compassion, the arts and the environment. The majority of our giving is concentrated in and around the cities where the majority of our cast members live and work. For regions outside these focus areas, we have joined forces with several national charities including In Kind Direct, the Make-A-Wish Foundation®UK, the National Literacy Trust and Help a London Child, just to name a few. By working directly with these organisations, we can provide financial and in-kind contributions which, in turn, are passed on to their local branches to support communities across the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Our charitable contributions are co-ordinated through the Community Affairs offices at the main business sites of the Company. For consideration of your charitable request, please follow these guidelines and submit your solicitation to the appropriate office listed below:

  • We can only make donations to registered charities and favour those with a children or family focus. Donations can only be made directly to the charity, not those fundraising on their behalf; unless a letter from the charity is submitted on their official letterhead, with full details of those fundraising on their behalf.
  • Request must be written on the organisation’s official letterhead and must include the registered charity number, date of the event, and any other pertinent information. We do not accept solicitations by fax or email.
  • Requests must be received in our Community Affairs office at least 1 month prior to the date of the event.
  • The event must be strictly for fundraising purposes. We do not support incentive or reward programmes.
  • Requests for medical compassionate assistance (i.e. visits to our theme parks, etc.) must be made to Disney via recognised wish-granting organisations, such as the Make-A-Wish Foundation®UK.
  • We can make no donations to families or individuals
